AAA9 wants to ensure our older adults are getting the resources they need if they are experiencing some type of abuse. Because of this, we will be increasing our services to include assisting with those in situations of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.

Who We Are
AAA9 is part of the national aging services network. This network includes the U.S. Administration on Aging at the federal level, and the Ohio Department of Aging at the state level. AAA9 is one of 12 Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) in Ohio and 660 nationwide. As your local AAA, we are responsible for planning, coordinating and administrating local, state and federally funded programs and services for older adults in our planning and service area which includes; Belmont, Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson, Muskingum, and Tuscarawas counties.If you or your loved one does not live in one of these nine (9) Ohio Counties, please click HERE.
Finding the Right Program
Planning ahead for long-term health care needs can reduce stress and ensure that personal choices are observed and that financial resources are put to best use. Planning ahead is never easy, but skilled staff at the Area Agency on Aging Region 9 can help you explore your options and develop a plan. A professional long-term care consultant (a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Social Worker) will meet with you and your family for a free in-home evaluation of your current situation and future options. He or she will explain services available, discuss eligibility requirements and how best to meet your needs and wishes.
We encourage you to explore our resources on our website but we invite you to contact our Certified Information and Referral Specialist for answers you need. They will provide answers in assisting older people remain healthy, access public benefits, and discover meaningful ways to continue contributing to society. Through AAA9 and our certified contracted providers, older adults, their caregivers and families have access to unbiased information, assistance, consultation, and long-term care services.
