Update:

In mid-2020, due to the current pandemic of COVID 19, all in person community-based wellness programs have been put on hold.  However, AAA9 has been trained to deliver these programs through a virtual platform.  AAA9 Site Coordinator and Master Trainer Carol Baker can schedule the Diabetic Self-Management, Chronic Disease Self-Management or Chronic Pain Self-Management program for your group whenever it fits your calendar.

The virtual workshops only require that a participant have internet access and a valid email address.  Before each workshop begins one of the leaders assigned to that specific workshop will contact each participant to make sure that they have a good connection to proceed on the first day.  In the very near future, we will be also be able to offer the Matter of Balance Workshop through virtual means.

Once the pandemic is over, it is unclear whether we will still be offering programs online.  However, these opportunities can give you or someone you care about, the opportunity to learn more about their own chronic disease, or illness and connect with other individuals who are going through the same issues and have similar concerns.  Taking part in this manner will also help to combat social isolation coming from staying home during the coronavirus outbreak.

The content for the virtual wellness programs is identical to in person ones.  Please click on one of the tabs below for more information.  To inquire about the virtual workshops, please email Carol Baker, at cbaker@aaa9.org
