Everyone has the right to receive the care they need in the settings they prefer. The Area Agency on Aging assists nine East Central Ohio counties understand their options for care and ensures your rights as a consumer are not infringed. Most older people remain independent their entire lives, but others find themselves needing some help with activities we once took for granted, such as fixing meals and traveling to appointments. There comes a time when we need a level of care that we just can't provide for ourselves. We offer many different options in a variety of settings, from linking you to care in your home to assisting you in nursing facility placement.
The Area Agency on Aging Region 9, Inc. is currently soliciting bids from applicants who are requesting to contract for Care Coordination funding through the AAA9 Case Managed and voucher program. The service area for this program includes Belmont, Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson, Muskingum and Tuscarawas Counties. The instructions and application are posted here. The requested due date is Thursday, December 7, 2017.
The Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) would like to announce its 2017 Statewide Needs Assessment Survey. Results from this survey will guide ODA in the development of a tailored 2019-2022 State Plan on Aging that meets the unique needs of older Ohioans, their respective, caregivers and the aging network workforce. This survey, along with our recent statewide regional forums and other data sources will inform our State Plan. The survey is currently open and will close Thursday, November 30, 2017.
