We have Certified Information & Referral Specialist- Aging (CIRS-A) standing by to assist you in all your aging needs. The certification awards professional credentials to employees who successfully complete the appropriate AIRS Certification Program for information and referral practitioners. It is an acknowledgment of demonstrated competence in the field of information and referral.

Information and Referral (I&R) brings people and services together. When people don't know where to turn, I&R is there for them. Our trained staff is ready to assist you.

Finding the Right Program

Assessment Planning ahead for long-term health care needs can reduce stress and ensure that personal choices are observed and that financial resources are put to best use. Planning ahead is never easy, but skilled staff at the Area Agency on Aging Region 9 can help you explore your options and develop a plan. A professional long-term care consultant (a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Social Worker) will meet with you and your family for a free in-home evaluation of your current situation and future options. He or she will explain services available, discuss eligibility requirements and how best to meet your needs and wishes.

Who We Are
AAA9 is part of the national aging services network. This network includes the U.S. Administration on Aging at the federal level, and the Ohio Department of Aging at the state level. AAA9 is one of 12 Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) in Ohio and 660 nationwide. As your local AAA, we are responsible for planning, coordinating and administrating local, state and federally funded programs and services for older adults in our planning and service area which includes; Belmont, Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson, Muskingum, and Tuscarawas counties.
